Welcome Spring!  The nice weather can’t get here fast enough as we are itching to get outside and enjoy the warm sun on our back deck.  Last week some of our members even helped to get our garden ready for the growing season, cleaning out the beds and raking the lawn.  It was a beautiful day to be outside.  We are hoping to grow sunflowers out back this year, and are excited to see the beautiful hydrangea tree given to us by the Woman’s Club last year bloom again!

Please check out the Silverthorne Adult Day Facebook page to see some of the great activities we did in March.  We started the month with a Veteran’s Appreciation Luncheon.  Since then our members were very busy making our spring and holiday decorations, feeding the birds, virtually visiting Ireland and Hawaii, playing some fun new physical games, as well as the requisite BINGO!

In April, we will continue our virtual visits to Chicago, to the zoo, to Italy and to London.  On the 16th we will be wearing our pajamas, and we will be playing volleyball, golf, broom ball, corn hole and whiffle ball throughout the month.

We would like to wish a very warm welcome to our newest members: Bob, Marie, Susan, Al, and their families to our Silverthorne family!

If you haven’t gotten yours already, there are still some of the fundraising calendars available. They are one for $10.00 or $25.00 for three.  Winners will be chosen beginning May 1st. We would like to thank the following businesses for their support: Maddie’s Restaurant, Photo’s by Samantha, Lovette Woodworks, Beantown Café, Starting Line Up, Motor Sports of Derry, MaryAnn’s restaurant, Black Water Grill, Send It Tree Service, Ford Flower’s, Chatila’s Sugar Free Bakery, Hair by HC, Fody’s Tavern, Suppa’s restaurant, and the Copper Door restaurant.  We would also like to thank our staff’s family and friends for their donations:  Nanny (Lisa’s Mom), Debbie ( Jess’ Mom), Gwen & Jen, the Szweda family, the Ivester family and the Tramontozzi family, Donna P & Hope, Donna’s daughter Alyssa, Jacqui, Jill, Kristin and Elizabeth.

Lastly, we would like to thank County Commissioner, Mr. Tom Tombarello for his continued support of Rockingham County’s Adult Day programs.  You help make it possible for us to continue helping those who need us most!

Dear Silverthorne Families and Friends,

As we are heading into the time of year that we are likely to experience inclement weather, I wanted to be sure that we all have the same information.
